Eligibility & Entrance Exams

CandidateswhohavecompletedM.Sc./MTechinbiotechnology/anydiscipline of biological sciences or qualifications declared equivalent to the Master’sdegreeinbiotechnology/anydisciplineofbiologicalsciencesbycorrespondingstatutory/regulatory bodies , with at least 55 % marks in aggregate or its equivalentgrade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed or equivalent qualification.•A relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) or its equivalent grade may be allowedforthosebelongingtoSC/ST/OBC(non-creamylayer)/ DifferentlyAbled,Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as perthe UGC Ph.D. Degree Regulations (2022).•In addition to the above, candidates should have qualified any of the followingexaminations and hold a valid fellowship offer will be eligible to appear for interview:➢Joint CSIR-UGC test for Junior Research Fellowship (CSIR/UGC JRF)➢Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (DST-INSPIRE)➢DBT Junior Research Fellowship (DBT-JRFCategory-I)➢ICMR Junior Research Fellowship (ICMR-JRF)➢Any other valid national competitive fellowship offered by Government of Indiawill be eligible to be called for interview as per the UGCPh.D. DegreeRegulations (2022).
