First apply for the PhD programme through the IIIT Kottayam portal. Applicants will have to appear in the entrance exam by IIIT Kottayam and students who secure the closing cut-off for IIIT Kottayam will be called for interviews. The students passing the interview will appear on the merit list. If selected, get the documents verified and pay the fee to get enrolled in the PhD programme.
First, appear in the JEE Main exam. The qualified candiates will be allowed to fill the counselling form at the JoSAA portal and choose IIITK. The institue will release a merit list of BTech programme and if selected, the candidates will have to submit documents for verification and pay the fee to get enrolled in the course.
The minimum eligibility criteria for MTech offered at IIITK includes 10+2 from a recognized board in maths with 60 % marks + BE /B.Tech/AMIE from recognised university in maths/ statistics / computer science / computer application / physics with 60% marks.
Admission to the B.Tech/B.Tech-MS programmes in IIIT are based on the performance of candidates in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). For admission to IIIT Kottayam, candidates have to apply for the JEE Main session on the official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in. The qualified candidates will be given admission through JoSSA/CSAB.
For the PhD programme, one should have a graduate and postgraduate degree from recognized institutes and with aggregate marks of 70 per cent and 60 per cent respectively.
