Lakulish Yoga University

Lakulish Yoga University, is a private university that was established in 2013 under the Gujarat Private Universities Act 2009. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The University offers UG, PG, MPhil, diploma and PG diploma programmes in Yoga, Naturopathy, Ayurvedic Hygiene and Yoga Therapy. It has more than 50 faculty members, including all professors and Board of Management members. It also celebrates the victory of famous swami’s, such as Lakulish Avatar, Swami Pranavanand, Swami Kripalvanand and Swami Rajarshi Muni. Apart from regular classes, it also conducts workshops for the students for one-on-one interactions with the experts. The University campus is spread across an area of 111 acre and is well-versed with all basic amenities, including a community hall, yoga halls for practice, therapy labs, an exhibition cum community hall, a visitors lounge, hostel facilities and more. The library of the University has books or journals in four different languages, namely English, Gujarati, Hindi and Marathi. For the online application process, candidates need to fill a registration form to apply for any of the programmes. The duration of both the programmes is three years each. At the PG level, it offers MSc and MA in Yoga with each course having a duration of two years. It also offers MPhil and PhD programmes in several specialisations of Yoga. Apart from the degree courses, it offers a PG diploma in Yoga Therapy with a duration of 18 months, and a diploma in Yoga with a duration of two years. It also offers a short-term yoga instructor training course of 45 days.
