About
Swarnim Gujarat Sports University was established in 2011 by Government of Gujarat and is UGC approved. The university provides career programmes in the field of Sports Management, Sports Event Management, Sports Tourism, Sports Law, Sports Journalism, Sports Nutrition, Sports Physiotherapy, and Sports Massage. SGSU also offers MPhil and PhD in Physical Education and Sports Sciences and has more than 60 research scholars. SGSU has collaborated with more than 30 universities in India and with more than 5 international universities. SGSU also played a pivotal role in organising events at the state level and national levels such as Khel Maha Kumbh, Pre Vibrant Gujarat Sports Summit, Vyayam Setu, and Water Sports at Narmada Park, Bharuch. SGSU offers more than 10 courses at UG, PG, and doctoral level. Furthermore, it also offers diploma and certificate courses. There are a total of six faculty offering degree programmes. Currently, SGSU is planning the commencement of new courses such as PG Diploma in Sports Tourism and Adventure Sports Administration. Mentioned below are key courses along with their eligibility criteria and fee structure: CourseEligibility CriteriaAnnual Fee (in Rs) BBA - Sports Management - Event Management in Sports Qualifying Exam: Written Test Candidates must have completed PG Diploma in Sports Management or in General Management from a recognised university Score in Personal Interview - BPES Qualifying Exam: Written Test/ Sports Proficiency Test/ Fitness Test Candidates must have clear Class 12 in any discipline 12475 MPED Qualifying Exam: Written Test/ Sports Proficiency Test/ Fitness Test Candidate must have BPED, BPE, and BSc (Health & Physical Education) with a minimum aggregate of 55% from any recognised university - Integrated MPhil and PhD Qualifying Exam: Written Test/ Sports Proficiency Test/ Fitness Test Candidates must have a masters in Physical Education & Sports Sciences with a minimum aggregate of 50% ( 45% for SC/ST) 16585 Swarnim Gujarat Sports University Placements SGSU has a placement cell headed by faculty members to look after the placement activities of the university.
