Gujarat’s UG medical admission committee has opened round-3 choice filling for MBBS and BDS from 6 to 10 October, on a revised merit list of 15,814 names. It warns that a candidate who takes a round-3 seat and does not report forfeits ₹10,000 and is barred from the final round.

Gujarat MBBS and BDS round 3: choice filling closes at 10 am on 10 October — miss reporting and you lose round 4

The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC), Gujarat published its round-3 choice-filling advertisement on 5 October 2026. It covers government, management and NRI seats for MBBS and BDS in government and self-financed colleges for 2026-27, and is open to every eligible candidate on the committee's merit list.

The advertisement does not give a result date for the round-3 allotment. The joining and round-4 dates above come from the joint NEET-UG schedule the committee hosts on its notice board.

The merit list you are filling against

  • A revised provisional merit list for round 3 went up on 5 October and was revised again at 5:45 pm on 6 October, this time with the PwD category lists that had been held back for verification.
  • The revised general merit list runs to 15,814 entries, from NEET-UG all-India rank 43 down to a score of 177. Separate lists cover SC, ST, SEBC and EWS, NRI candidates, the local quotas at NHL and SMIMER, and a list of candidates found not eligible, with reasons.
  • The committee says the reservation claims shown are still subject to finalisation by the competent authority of the state.

The warning in bold this time

On 5 October the committee issued a special instruction about money, not merit:

  • Check every college's seats by category (GQ, MQ, NRI) and its tuition and other fees before you add it to your list.
  • Do not choose a seat whose fee you cannot arrange. If a seat is allotted and your admission is not confirmed because you could not pay, the ₹10,000 refundable security deposit can be forfeited.
  • A candidate who is allotted a round-3 seat and does not report to the college in time loses the deposit and cannot take part in round 4.
  • If you need an education loan or a scholarship to pay, find out how before you fill choices, not after.

The cost of getting this wrong is already visible. On 5 October the committee listed 64 candidates — 32 MBBS and 32 BDS — whose deposits were forfeited and who were removed from the merit list for cancelling round-2 admissions.

How seats move between categories

A notice posted on 7 October explains that seats left empty in a reserved category after all its candidates are placed will be converted during allotment: NRI to management quota, management to government quota, SC/ST/SEBC/EWS to general (open), and PwD seats to the corresponding category. Vacant NRI seats are filled as management-quota seats at management-quota fees. GMERS colleges and the Gujarat Adani Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhuj have NRI seats but no management quota, so their vacant NRI seats are also filled this way.

Before you lock

  • Use the committee's choice-filling guidelines and screenshot guide on its notice board.
  • Order your list by where you would actually go. Every college you add is one you are telling the committee you will join if it is allotted.
  • From round 3, verification at help centres is against original documents only; keep them ready for reporting.
