Gujarat open school exams: registration extended to 15 October; Class 10 and 12 papers from 30 November
The Gujarat State Open School has extended registration for its November–December 2026 Class 10 and Class 12 general-stream exams to midnight on 15 October. Papers run from 30 November to 9 December, and girls and candidates with disabilities pay no exam fee.

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, which runs the Gujarat State Open School (GSOS), has extended the online registration for its special November–December 2026 exams for Class 10 (SSC) and Class 12 general stream (HSC). Registration had opened at 4 pm on 22 September and was due to close at midnight on 6 October. A press note dated 6 October moves the deadline to midnight on 15 October 2026.
How to register
- Forms are filled online only, from the board's website, through a school registered with the board. A student does not register alone — go to a registered school and have it file your form.
- Check the application status on the board's GSOS portal a few days after the school submits, and keep the application number.

Who this is for
This sitting is meant for students who want to finish Class 10 or Class 12 without waiting for the next regular board exams — those who failed one or more subjects, left school, or are moving from another board. An open-school pass is a board certificate. Use the extra nine days to get the form in through a registered school rather than leaving it to the last night.
