After round-3 reporting, 36,252 of Gujarat’s 53,206 nursing and allied-health seats are empty — and government seats are opening up too
Only 16,954 students confirmed seats after round 3 of Gujarat’s nursing, physiotherapy and allied-health counselling, out of 20,855 who were allotted one. The committee’s post-reporting statement of 10 October shows 36,252 vacant seats, now including some in government ANM schools and physiotherapy colleges.
The Admission Committee for Gujarat Professional Nursing and Allied Medical Educational Courses has published an institute-wise statement of seats left vacant after round-3 reporting, dated 10 October 2026. It covers GNM, ANM, B.Sc. Nursing, physiotherapy (BPT), optometry, occupational therapy, naturopathy, prosthetics and orthotics, and audiology and speech therapy.

About 3,900 students who were allotted seats did not report. The vacancy figure is therefore about 3,900 higher than the count published right after the round-3 allotment.
Government seats are no longer full
After the allotment, every government seat was taken. After reporting, some of them have come free:
- Government ANM training schools: 630 seats, 485 confirmed, 145 vacant. The school at Bavla (Ahmedabad district) has 13 of its 20 seats empty, and Aliyabada (Jamnagar) has 12.
- Government physiotherapy colleges: 484 seats, 386 confirmed, 98 vacant.
- Government GNM schools and B.Sc. Nursing colleges also show seats freed up by students who did not report.
Most of the empty seats are still in self-financed GNM schools, B.Sc. Nursing colleges and ANM schools. Many of these colleges have filled only a handful of seats. At some 60-seat GNM schools, just two students have confirmed.
Before you take a seat
- Before you commit, check that the college appears on the committee's lists of government and self-financed institutes for your course (updated 28 September). The committee has also posted separate advertisements for 2026-27 management and NRI-quota admissions in B.Sc. Nursing, GNM/ANM and physiotherapy.
- Tuition fees for committee-allotted seats are accepted only online or at the committee's designated Axis Bank branches. A payment at any other branch does not confirm your admission.
What to do now: if you registered but have no seat, open the vacancy statement and shortlist colleges that still have seats in your course and district. Then check the committee's notice board every day for the next official step. If you hold a seat, keep it. The committee's cancellation window closed at noon on 10 October.
