How far down the merit list government seats went

Government seats closed much earlier. In physiotherapy, the round-3 open-category closing merit numbers were 511 at the government college in Surat, 577 in Ahmedabad, 1,093 in Vadodara, 1,638 in Jamnagar and 2,234 in Dahod. Self-financed physiotherapy colleges ran past merit number 12,000.

If you were allotted a seat in round 3

  • Pay at an Axis Bank branch named by the committee — a payment at any other branch is not accepted — and keep the stamped "paid" challan.
  • Book an online appointment and take your originals, in an 11x15-inch envelope, to the help centre with the challan, the appointment letter and your PIN. You or a parent with ID must go in person.
  • SC and ST students with a freeship card in a self-financed institute do not pay; they get the fee set to zero at the help centre. The freeship card does not apply to a government seat.
  • If your earlier seat changed in round 3, collect a new admission order. If you neither pay nor report, the round-3 seat is cancelled and you have no claim to it later.

What to watch for

As of 9 October, the committee had not announced another centralised round. With more than 32,000 seats empty, students still looking for a nursing or physiotherapy seat should check medadmgujarat.org daily, and check that any college offering a direct seat is on the committee's institute lists, which were updated on 28 September.
