How CareerBox news and guides are written and checked, and what to do if we get something wrong.
Last updated: 22 October 2026
1. The CareerBox News Desk
The CareerBox News Desk writes the stories at careerbox.in/news and the long guides on the CareerBox blog. Stories carry the desk byline, the date they were published and, when we change something, the date of the update.
We cover what students and job seekers in India need to act on:
- Entrance exam dates, admit cards, answer keys and results
- Admissions and counselling rounds, seat matrices and deadlines
- Scholarships and fee notices
- Government recruitment notices and exam schedules
- Rules from regulators, boards and universities
- Study abroad rules that change costs or visas for Indian students
Gujarat gets closer coverage because CareerBox is based in Ahmedabad, but we report on national bodies and other states as well.
2. Sources and how we check facts
We report from the primary source: the notice, information bulletin, order, result page or official portal of the body that made the decision. Each story links that source so you can check it yourself.
- Every date, fee, seat count and name in a story is checked against the linked official source before the story goes live.
- If the official body has not published a figure, we say so instead of estimating it.
- We do not take dates from coaching sites or rumours, and we do not copy other publications. We write each story in our own words.
- When a notice is unclear, we quote the exact wording and say what it does not answer.
Always confirm deadlines on the official portal before you pay a fee or submit a form. Bodies sometimes change dates after we publish.
3. Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it in the story and show an updated date. When the mistake changed what a reader would do, such as a wrong deadline or fee, the story says what was corrected. We keep the same web address so links and bookmarks still work.
Report a mistake
Email [email protected] with the link to the story and the official notice that shows the right information. You can also use the contact page.
4. Use of AI tools
We use AI tools to help with research, first drafts, summaries and cover illustrations. AI output is never published without the checks in section 2. Cover images made with AI tools are illustrations, not photos of real events.
The CareerBox editorial team is responsible for everything published under the CareerBox name, however it was drafted.
5. Independence
CareerBox earns money from institute and business subscriptions, counselling and advertising. News stories are not paid for, and an institute that pays for a listing has no say over what we report about it. We do not publish press releases as news.
6. Ownership and contact
CareerBox is an independent Indian company based at 53, World Business House, Nr. Parimal Garden, Ellisbridge, Ahmedabad 380006, Gujarat. The people behind it are on our About page.
