SOF IEOSOF International English Olympiad
About SOF IEO
The SOF International English Olympiad measures English language and comprehension skills of students from Classes 1 to 12 in a one-hour objective paper taken at their own school. Sections progress from word and structure knowledge through reading to applied spoken-and-written expression, capped by the Achievers Section that decides close rankings.
IEO gives schools a structured, syllabus-aligned way to benchmark English ability nationally, with medals, scholarships and international ranks for toppers and detailed performance reports for every participant. It carries no weight in admissions or visa processes — it is an enrichment contest rather than a certified proficiency test.
Accepted by: SOF ranks, medals, certificates and scholarship awards benchmarking English proficiency; no admission value — it is distinct from proficiency tests like IELTS/TOEFL
