Students in Class 11 and above who belong to the SC, SEBC/OBC, EBC, NT-DNT or minority categories have until 30 September 2026 to apply for the state’s post-matric scholarships for the 2026-27 academic year. The window opened on 6 July.
Where to apply
Applications go through the Gujarat Scholarship Portal at gssp.gujarat.gov.in or the existing Digital Gujarat portal at digitalgujarat.gov.in. Registration needs a mobile number and email for OTP verification.
What you need ready
- Bona fide certificate from the institution and the fee receipt or admission letter
- Income certificate, caste certificate and domicile certificate
- Aadhaar card, bank passbook and a passport-size photograph
Who qualifies
Income ceilings differ by scheme: ₹1,00,000 a year for the OBC post-matric scholarship, ₹2,50,000 for SC and ST students, ₹1,50,000 for the higher-secondary minority scholarship, and up to ₹6,00,000 for the Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana. Awards across the portal’s schemes range from ₹940 to ₹2,00,000 a year. The pre-matric window for the new year had not been announced at the time of writing.
Applications with a missing document are the most common reason for rejection, so upload everything in one sitting and note the application number.
