GPSC nursing service jobs: 623 candidates shortlisted for 22 posts must upload documents by 22 October
After the preliminary tests, the Gujarat Public Service Commission has shortlisted 372 candidates for 8 Nursing Officer/Principal (Class-2) posts, 241 for 12 Nursing Superintendent (Class-2) posts and 10 for 2 Principal (Class-1) posts. Everyone on these lists must upload their certificates on GPSC’s portal between 1 pm on 13 October and 11:59 pm on 22 October, or be disqualified.

The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has published lists of candidates eligible for application scrutiny in three Gujarat Nursing Service recruitments for the Health and Family Welfare Department. The lists came out on 8 and 9 October 2026, after the preliminary tests, and the documents upload window opened on 13 October. Scrutiny is the step where GPSC checks your degree, experience and category certificates before it calls anyone for interview.

GPSC says candidates who do not upload online automatically become ineligible for scrutiny. Documents sent any other way are not accepted.
Documents that trip people up
- Experience certificate: candidates outside government service must use GPSC's prescribed experience format. It should show experience in order, the pay from the start of each job and the nature of the duties. Government employees need a certificate from their office and a no-objection certificate (NOC) in the format set by the General Administration Department.
- Private-sector experience: along with the certificate, upload your salary-account bank statement for the period and Form 16 (Parts A and B) or your income-tax returns, so that GPSC can verify it.
- SEBC candidates: the non-creamy-layer certificate must be in the Gujarati format given in the advertisement (Appendix-K or Appendix-4). No other format is accepted. Married women must submit it based on their parents' income, not their husband's. The Nursing Superintendent notice gives the valid issue window as 1 April 2024 to 22 October 2026.
Eligibility, in brief
According to the advertisement summary, the Class-2 posts need an M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Nursing and several years of experience, the number depending on the post and the degree. The Class-1 Principal post needs an M.Sc. in Nursing and 15 years of experience. Check the detailed advertisement for the exact experience rules for your post.
What to do now: if your name is on a list, collect your degree, nursing council registration, experience letters with pay details, salary statements and Form 16 or ITRs, and your category certificate. Scan them clearly and upload them well before the portal closes on the night of 22 October.
