GPSC’s 2,290-post doctors’ recruitment reaches its ninth interview phase: 19 to 23 October

The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has published the phase-9 interview programme for its largest recruitment for doctors this year: Advertisement No. 82/2024-25 for Gujarat Medical Service, Class-2. The advertisement covers Medical Officer, Class-2, Insurance Medical Officer (Allopathy), Class-2 and Tutor (various subjects), Class-2. The programme is dated 14 October 2026.

• Interviews start at 11 am, according to the programme.
• The programme puts the advertisement at 2,290 posts and lists 3,595 candidates against it.
• No interviews are scheduled for Tuesday, 20 October.

How the earlier phases have worked

GPSC has been interviewing for this advertisement in batches since the summer. Notices for phases 3 to 8 went up between August and October. Each phase has followed the same pattern:

• First, a short programme with the dates, like the one just issued for phase 9.
• Then a detailed interview programme listing each candidate’s roll number and the date and reporting time.
• Along with it, a notice to download the interview call letter and the related forms, and to give your posting preferences, on gpsc-ojas.gujarat.gov.in.

Phase 8 ran from 14 to 17 October. On 12 October GPSC added a second part to it with 76 more candidates, who were told to report at 9 am. The commission told them to print the call letter and its annexures and bring them on the day.

If you are waiting for your turn

• Check GPSC’s news page every day this week. The detailed phase-9 list with roll numbers is expected to follow the short programme, as it did in earlier phases, and your reporting time will be on it.
• Download and print the call letter as soon as it opens on gpsc-ojas.gujarat.gov.in, and fill in the preference form carefully. It can decide where you are posted.
• Carry original certificates for your MBBS degree, internship completion, medical council registration, caste or EWS status and any other claim you made in the application, and follow the document list attached to your call letter.

What to do now: if you applied under Advertisement 82/2024-25 and have not been interviewed yet, keep the week of 19 October free. Watch for the detailed phase-9 list and get your original documents together now.
