GSSSB’s calendar for October to December: 9,760 posts in two combined exams, plus nursing and technical cadres
Gujarat’s subordinate services board has published a month-by-month calendar of probable exams from July to December 2026. It plans a 7,338-post combined exam (CCE-1) with mains in November and January and a 2,422-post CCE-2 prelim in December, alongside health and engineering cadres.
The Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board (GSSSB) publishes a recruitment calendar listing, month by month, the exams it plans for advertised cadres. The current one, dated 2 July 2026, covers July to December 2026. Every month in it is marked probable, and the board warns that months and vacancy counts can change — so use it to plan, and confirm dates on the board's pages and OJAS.
The two big combined exams
- Combined Competitive Exam 1 (CCE-1), Advt 378/2025-26 — 7,338 posts. Prelim listed for September; Group A mains November 2026, Group B mains January 2027. Biggest cadres: Junior Clerk 4,396, Revenue Clerk 1,600, Senior Clerk 795, Head Clerk 324, Social Welfare Inspector 140, Depo Manager 42.
- Combined Competitive Exam 2 (CCE-2) — 2,422 posts, advertisement yet to be published. Prelim listed for December 2026; Group A mains March 2027, Group B mains May 2027. Includes Junior Clerk 1,647, Senior Clerk 214, Head Clerk 181, Office Assistant 115, Social Welfare Inspector 94, Assistant Government Labour Officer 66, Assistant Tribal Development Officer 50.

How to read it
- Many October and November entries say "yet to be published": the posts are planned but not advertised, and applications have not opened.
- The Staff Nurse post for 131 vacancies in the calendar has since been advertised (Advt 458/2026-27, on OJAS, applications till 12 October). The calendar's "probable October" month for it is therefore only indicative.
- The September prelim month for CCE-1 has already passed; the board's OJAS pages carry the actual exam status.
- The board also says it will publish a probable calendar for January to June 2027 later.
What to do now
Pick the cadre that matches your qualification, keep your certificates (caste, non-creamy layer, EWS, domicile and educational) valid and ready, and register on OJAS's one-time registration so you can apply the day an advertisement appears.
