Gujarat MBBS and BDS stray round: new candidates can register until 10 am on 17 October

The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC), Gujarat has opened registration for the fourth online round of first-year MBBS and BDS admissions for 2026-27. This is the stray vacancy round, the last state round of the year. The advertisement went up at 2:20 pm on 15 October 2026, and the window is short: registration closes at 10 am on Saturday, 17 October.

Help centres work from 10 am to 4 pm on weekdays and from 10 am to 12 noon on Saturdays. They are shut on Sundays and public holidays. Appointments for verification on 16 October are open now. If you want a slot on 17 October, booking opens at 6 pm on 16 October.

Who can register

Round 4 is open only to Gujarat-eligible NEET-UG 2026 qualifiers who:

• did not register in round 1, round 2 or round 3, or
• were allotted a seat in round 2, did not confirm it, exited with their security deposit forfeited, and then did not register again for round 3.

You cannot take part if you were allotted an MBBS or BDS seat in round 3, or if you confirmed admission in round 1, 2 or 3. The usual eligibility rules still apply: Class 12 science with the B or AB group, passed from the Gujarat board or from a CBSE, CISCE, Cambridge or NIOS school located in Gujarat.

What it costs

• PIN: ₹11,000 in total. That is ₹1,000 non-refundable plus a ₹10,000 refundable security deposit.
• NRI candidates must also deposit a ₹10,000 demand draft in favour of “ACPUGMEC”, payable at Gandhinagar, at the committee’s office in GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar.

The rules of this round

• Registered candidates get fresh choice filling after giving online consent, and seats are allotted online.
• If you are allotted a seat and confirm it by paying the fee and depositing original documents, you cannot cancel it later and will not be allowed into any further all-India or state round.
• If you are allotted a seat and do not pay the fee and report, your security deposit is forfeited.

The committee has not yet published the list of vacant seats for this round. Seats depend on how many round-3 students actually reported, and Gujarat extended round-3 reporting until 4 pm on 16 October.

Where this sits in the national calendar

Under the NEET-UG 2026 schedule that Gujarat has posted, states run their stray round between 17 and 21 October 2026, and the last date to join a seat is 26 October.

What to do now

1. Check that you meet the eligibility rule above. If you hold a confirmed seat anywhere in the state or all-India rounds, this round is not for you.
2. Buy the PIN before 8 am on 17 October and finish registration before 10 am.
3. Pick your help centre, date and time when you print the registration slip, and carry self-attested photocopies of every document on the committee’s list.
4. Watch medadmgujarat.org for the vacant-seat list and the choice-filling dates.
