Gujarat MBBS round 2: reporting and original documents close tomorrow at noon, 19 September
Candidates allotted a seat in the second round of Gujarat’s MBBS and BDS counselling must report at a help centre with original documents by 12 noon on 19 September. Online tuition fee payment closed at 3:30 pm on 18 September, and the HDFC Bank branch window closed with it.
If Gujarat's second counselling round handed you an MBBS or BDS seat, the paperwork half of that admission ends tomorrow at 12 noon. The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses set three windows for round 2, and two of them have already shut.
The round 2 windows
- Online tuition fee — 14 September to 18 September, 3:30 pm. Closed.
- Fee at a designated HDFC Bank branch — 16 September, 10:30 am to 18 September, 3:30 pm. Closed.
- Reporting and submission of original documents at a help centre — 16 September, 10:00 am to 19 September, 12:00 noon. Open now.
Help centres work 10 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday and 10 am to 12 noon on Saturday, and stay shut on Sundays and public holidays. Tomorrow is a Saturday deadline that ends exactly when the counter closes, so treat 12 noon as the hard stop, not as an approximate morning.
What "reporting" actually means
It means physically handing over your original certificates at a help centre and collecting the receipt, not logging in and clicking confirm. The committee has published the list of documents required for round 2 reporting, the fee data sheet and the admission-confirmation procedure on its portal; read the reporting list against your own folder tonight rather than at the counter. Candidates going in on someone else's behalf need the authority letter the committee prescribes for original-document submission.
If you miss noon tomorrow
An allotted seat that is not reported against goes back into the pool for the next round. You do not lose your place in the merit list, but you lose that seat — and the seats that come back into round 3 are whatever the state is left with, not the one you were allotted. The academic session for MBBS and BDS in Gujarat began on 15 September, so every round from here is a student joining a class that has already started.
The committee's own instruction sheet is blunt about the portal being the source of truth: it asks candidates to visit it frequently, because round dates in this season have been extended more than once, sometimes by a few hours on the same day.
