Karnataka II PUC 2027: private candidates can register online until 21 November without a late fee
Karnataka’s school examination board has opened online registration for students who want to sit the 2027 II PUC Exam-1 as private candidates, in arts or commerce. You must be 17 by 31 March 2027, register through a government PU college, and pay ₹2,355 (₹1,755 for SC, ST and Category-1) by 21 November.

The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has opened registration for private candidates who want to write the 2027 II PUC Exam-1. Its circular is dated 13 October 2026, and online applications opened the same day. You cannot register in person at a college. It has to be done online, and only government pre-university colleges process private candidates.

Who can register
- You must turn 17 by 31 March 2027, which means a date of birth on or before 31 March 2010.
- You must have passed Class 10 (SSLC, CBSE, ICSE, NIOS or another recognised board) in June 2026 or earlier.
- Students who failed I PUC, did not appear for it, or dropped out are eligible. So are SSLC-passed students who joined ITI, JOC or diploma courses and failed or dropped out.
- Private candidates can take only arts or commerce combinations: two languages in Part 1 and four optional subjects in Part 2.
- If you failed II PUC in one combination, you can register in a different arts or commerce combination. Failed science students can switch to arts or commerce.
- Students already registered for 2026-27 as regular or repeater candidates must not register as private candidates. The board says such registrations will be cancelled and the fee forfeited. Repeaters have a separate circular of their own.
