RRB Technician answer keys are out: check your responses and object by 11:55 pm on 22 October
The Railway Recruitment Boards have opened the answer keys and response sheets for the Technician Grade I Signal and Grade III computer-based tests held between 6 and 9 October. Candidates can raise objections at ₹50 a question until 11:55 pm on 22 October. The recruitment covers 6,557 posts.

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released the questions, candidate responses and provisional answer keys for the Technician recruitment under CEN 02/2026. The link went live at 4 pm on 15 October 2026 on the official RRB websites. It is the first chance for candidates to work out their raw score and to challenge any key they think is wrong.

Which exams this covers
- Technician Grade I Signal (pay level 5): computer-based test held on 9 October 2026.
- Technician Grade III (pay level 2), all trades: computer-based test held from 6 to 9 October 2026.
CEN 02/2026 notified 6,557 posts: 323 for Grade I Signal and the rest across 24 Grade III trades. The biggest are Fitter in production units and workshops (1,109), Welder in production units and workshops (584), Carriage and Wagon (501) and Fitter (open line) (469).
The objection window
| Step | Date and time |
|---|---|
| Viewing of questions, responses and keys; objections and fee payment open | 15 October 2026, 4 pm |
| Window closes | 22 October 2026, 11:55 pm |
- Fee: ₹50 per question, plus bank charges. If your objection is accepted, the fee is refunded, minus bank charges, to the account you paid from.
- Payment: debit card, credit card, UPI or net banking.
- After 11:55 pm on 22 October, the RRBs will not take any representation on questions, options or keys. Their decision on objections is final.
How to read your score
Each test had 100 questions in 90 minutes, with one-third of a mark deducted for every wrong answer. When you tally your responses against the key, subtract a third for each wrong answer. Leave unattempted questions at zero.
The notice sets minimum qualifying marks: 40% for unreserved and EWS candidates, 30% for OBC (non-creamy layer) and SC, and 25% for ST. These can be relaxed by 2 marks for PwBD candidates if there is a shortage. Because the tests ran in several shifts, the RRBs will normalise marks, so your final score may differ from your raw count.
What to do now
- Log in on your RRB’s website and download your response sheet before the window shuts at 11:55 pm on 22 October.
- Score yourself with the negative marking applied.
- Object only where you can back it with a reliable source, such as a standard textbook or an official specification. Each challenge costs ₹50.
- Finish payment well before 11:55 pm on Thursday, 22 October.
