NDA and NA (II) 2026 written result: 7,886 candidates go to SSB — register on the Army site within two weeks
UPSC has declared the written result of the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2026, held on 13 September. The roll-number list has about 7,400 men and 480 women. Qualified candidates must register on joinindianarmy.nic.in within two weeks of the 9 October result to be given SSB interview dates. Courses start on 1 July 2027.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the written result of the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2026 in a press note dated 9 October 2026. The exam was held on 13 September 2026. Candidates whose roll numbers are on the list now go to the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview.
The numbers
- The list carries 7,886 roll numbers by our count: 7,406 male and 480 female candidates.
- Successful candidates are being considered for the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA's 158th Course and the 120th Indian Naval Academy Course, both starting on 1 July 2027.
- Every name on the list is provisional until eligibility is checked.
What you must do now
- Register on joinindianarmy.nic.in within two weeks of the result — that is, by about 23 October. This applies whatever your first service choice is. If you registered earlier, you need not do it again.
- Watch the email ID you gave in the form. Your SSB centre and interview dates come there.
- Carry original certificates of age and education to the SSB, not to UPSC. Do not post originals to the commission.

Marks come later
UPSC will publish marks and cut-offs only after the final result, and keep them online for 30 days. Until then nobody — coaching institutes included — knows the official written cut-off. Spend the time on the SSB instead: the psychological tests, group tasks and interview carry the merit that decides who joins in July.
