About the CHSL posts

CHSL recruits Lower Division Clerks and Junior Secretariat Assistants (Level 2) and Data Entry Operators (Level 4 and 5) for central ministries and offices. The age limit is 18 to 27 years as on 1 August 2026, with the usual relaxations. The fee is ₹100. Women, SC, ST, PwBD candidates and ex-servicemen eligible for reservation do not pay it.

Plan your month

Anyone sitting more than one of these exams should note the order: JE in the first week of November, SI in the last ten days of the month, and CHSL running through December. Exam-city slips usually come before the admit cards. Check the SSC site and your registered email for them.
