Since Government Engineering College, Bhavnagar does not offer scholarships directly but students aspiring for GEC Bhavnagar scholarships can apply for several scholarships offered by AICTE or the Education Department, Government of Gujarat. For those scholarships, GEC Bhavnagar students have to meet the eligibility requirements. Scholarships are offered to GEC Bhavnagar students based on their performance in the qualifying exam and the annual income of the family. Candidates must fill and complete the application process to avail of GEC Bhavnagar scholarships. The Gujarat State Government financial and other scholarships are for the meritorious and needy students of all classes for pursuing higher education in the state of Gujarat. Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana, Education Department, Gujarat is accepting applications from deserving students studying diploma or degree programmes. The scholarship scheme intends to aid deserving students with tuition fees, lodging and food expenditures, as well as the cost of books and equipment. The scholarships for GEC Bhavnagar students are given below.

Scholarship Amount Eligibility Criteria AICTE-Saksham Scholarship Scheme Amount of scholarship that is a tuition fee of Rs. 30,000 or at actual, whichever is less and Rs.2000 per month for 10 months as incidentals charges each year. This scholarship is for differently-abled students who have a disability of not less than 40%. Candidates must be admitted to diploma/degree courses at an AICTE recognised institution. The annual income of the family should be less than Rs.8 Lakhs per annum. AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girls Amount of scholarship that is a tuition fee of Rs. 30,000 or at actual, whichever is less and Rs. 2,000 per month for 10 months as incidentals each year. This scholarship is for girl candidates who have taken admission to the diploma/degree course at AICTE approved institution/college. The annual income of the family should not be more than Rs.8 Lakhs. Up to two girls per family can apply for the scholarship. Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana (MYSY Scholarship) A candidate is eligible for 50% of the approved annual tuition or 50,000/-, whichever is less, for admission in Engineering/Technology at Government Approved Self Finance Institutes. Graduate students who have not been admitted into a government or grant-in-aid hostel and who live outside of their Taluka's residential area are eligible for a scholarship of Rs. 1,200 per month (for a maximum of ten months) in a year. In the first year of admission, one-time book-instrument support for the remainder of the course is available as follows: A student pursuing a degree in engineering or technology at the graduate level is eligible for a stipend of Rs. 5000/-. Candidates for bachelor's degree scholarships must have completed class XIIth Science/General stream from a recognised Gujarat board with a minimum 80 percentile in the board exam. Only candidates whose parents' annual income does not exceed Rs. 6,00,000/- would be considered eligible for the scheme.
