NIT Surathkal (NITK) Details
To make the course approachable for students across diverse backgrounds, NITK Surathkal scholarships are offered to students. The primary aim of providing NIT Surathkal scholarships to the students is to help them pursue their higher education without any hindrance. Partnering with private and government institutes the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal has been providing its applicants with several financial aids namely- the B R Samaga Scholarship for the Second year of B.Tech. students, Veeramma Rajashekaraiah scholarship only for Second-year students, Pradeep Gundappa Scholarship, I Year B.Tech. Merit Cum Means Scholarship and others. Students must meet the National Institute of Technology Surathkal scholarship eligibility criteria to avail of the scholarships offered by the university.

The student needs to be amongst the top 20 performers and needs to have the highest CGPA. They should belong to the low-income group. Viklang Sahayata Sanstha Mathura Scholarship NA It is provided only to the meritorious, physically challenged students Engineers India Limited (EIL) scholarship The SC and ST undergraduate students can apply for it. Reliance Foundation Scholarship For the undergraduate students Rs.4 lakh would be provided over the duration of the course. For the postgraduate candidates an amount of Rs. 6 lakh would be made available during the tenure of the degree. The meritorious students who are pursuing post graduation or undergraduate degree from the subject of artificial intelligence or computer science can apply. Financial Assistance (SC-ST students) Scholarship NA The SC and ST students who have a family income of below Rs.4.5 lakhs. Yes, NIT Surathkal offers a fee waiver for OBC students. Candidates from the OBC category whose family income is less than one lakh per annum will get a full remission of their tuition fee after they submit their latest income certificate. Students from the OBC category whose family income is between 1 lakh to 5 lakhs per annum will get a remission of 2/3rds of their tuition fee.
Admission to NIT Surathkal's MCA program is based on performance in a mandatory entrance examination called NIMCET (National Institute of Technology MCA Entrance Examination). NIMCET is the NIT MCA Common Entrance Examination, a national-level exam administered by NIT for admission to the MCA program.The eligibility criteria for the MCA program are a bachelor’s degree in the relevant stream and a minimum CGPA of 6.5 in the 0-10 scale grading system and students who have scored a minimum of 60% in their aggregate score for all subjects in a public university exam.SC/ST candidates will get a relaxation of 5% in their aggregate.
NIT Surathkal awards scholarships to students with exemplary academic performance and also those from financially weak backgrounds.. Scholarships are offered to students under certain rules and regulations set by the government.NIT Surathkal offers merit cum means scholarships to the top 50 students on the basis of their mark in the JEE Mains Exam every year. These scholarships are awarded to students whose annual family income is less than 4.5 lakhs per year. The scholarships are given based on their marks in the 10+2 exam which should be a minimum of 70%. The students who get the scholarship are given Rs.2000 per month as scholarship award.The merit scholarship of Rs. 10,000 every year is given to 5 students based on their scores in the JEE mains exam.
NIT Suratkal offers a two-year full-time MBA course. Admission to the MBA course is based on performance in the entrance test. Anyone with a valid CAT/MAT/GATE score is eligible to apply. In addition, applicants must meet the minimum eligibility requirements. These are bachelor's degree with 50% marks or 5.5 CGPA or 45% or 5 CGPA for SC/ST candidates. Selected candidates will also be invited for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) by NIT Surathkal. Preference will be given to those with work experience.
