About InBO

InBO is the national stage of India’s biology olympiad programme, open only to the top scorers of NSEB. Run by HBCSE, the paper moves past factual recall into the territory the International Biology Olympiad occupies: interpreting experimental data, reasoning about physiological mechanisms and applying genetics quantitatively.

The strongest InBO performers are invited to the Orientation-cum-Selection Camp in Mumbai, where laboratory practicals join theory tests in deciding the four-member team that represents India at the IBO. For biology-inclined students eyeing research careers, the NSEB–InBO track is the most prestigious school-level credential available in India.

Accepted by: Top InBO scorers advance to the OCSC Biology camp at HBCSE, from which India’s four-member International Biology Olympiad team is chosen
