The curriculum is at par, or I'd say even better than what most universities offer in India. It is equipped with very contemporary and up-to-date texts which are very relevant today. The teaching methods vary from individual teachers, but they all share the same enthusiasm and intellectual strength ...
- The campus life is serene and peaceful. The environment isn't polluted and there's plenty of greenery and peace of mind.
- The faculty pan University is extremely helpful. They all are always ready to aid students regarding any issue.
- The courses and events in the university are very relevant. They keep invited speakers from outside for seminars and lectures.
- The campus is a temporary one. A permanent campus is under construction near Vadodara. There could be more facilities, for e.g. better accomodation in the temporary campus.
- The canteen could be better. They mostly provide vegetarian food and often non-vegetarian students struggle to fit in.
- The university environment can at times get too political, although the faculty refrains from it, the student bodies are quite active in the regard.

Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar Details
Students at the Central University of Gujarat can apply for scholarships offered by UGC, AICTE, GOI etc. Centre for Chinese Studies students are awarded scholarships to pursue higher studies in China by MHRD, Government of India and Scholarship Council, China. Students aspiring for Central University of Gujarat scholarships are required to meet the eligibility criteria. Candidates must visit the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) to check the eligibility requirements and apply for Central University of Gujarat scholarships. M.Phil and Ph.D. students of CUG can apply for UGC-Non-NET Fellowship. To avail this scholarship, students should not avail any financial support from any other source. The university also has an Earn While You Lean scheme for deserving undergraduate and postgraduate students who do not receive fellowships. As a part of this scheme, candidates are assigned duties in the University Cyber Library after classroom hours.

Scholarship Name Benefits Eligibility Criteria Post Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child Scholarship by UGC INR 36,200 per annum (for two years) Girl students should be not more than 30 years and should not have a brother in the family. ISHAN UDAY - Special Scholarship Scheme For North Eastern Region Rs. 5,400 for a general degree course and Rs. 7,800 for technical/medical/professional/paramedical courses The parental income of the candidate should not exceed Rs. 4,50,000 per annum. UGC- Non- NET Fellowship Rs.5,000 per month with the contingency of Rs.8,000 per annum for science subjects and Rs.8,000 per annum for humanities and social sciences subjects for M.Phil Students. Rs.8,000 per month with the contingency of Rs.10,000 per annum for science subjects and Rs.8,000 per annum for humanities and social sciences subjects for Ph.D.Students. Students should not avail any financial assistance from any other source.
