Summer internships were also offered by several companies, including Mathworks, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft etc. Top roles offered were SDE and analyst. | Since our permanent campus has not been made yet, our institute is currently running on the GEC Gandhinagar campus. The infrastructure is not so good because of that reason, however, that doesn't hamper your academics since all labs are well-equipped, and the institute has 100 Mbps Wi-Fi that works smoothly. The library is a disappointment in terms of size. The hostel is currently located at Raj Labdhi Heritage Society and is good in accordance with the fees charged. 2 BHK flats have 5 students living in, and 3 BHK flats have 7. Every flat has an RO installed. The mess is behind the hostel premises. Mess food is average, sometimes quite good, and sometimes barely edible. Sports facilities are limited to football, volleyball, cricket, badminton, table tennis, carrom and chess are the games available here. Clubs have been formed for every sport, and efforts are being put forward to inculcate sports among students. | All the professors are qualified and Ph.D. holders and quite knowledgeable. The course curriculum has been designed according to the needs of the IT sector, and therefore, courses like engineering drawing and chemistry are not taught. Therefore, IIITs have one of the best course curriculums. It is suited for industry standards as the students are encouraged for internships etc. Assignments are overloaded, and you will have to match the deadline of atleast three assignments every week, excluding tutorials of different courses as well. Semester exams are on the easier side if you want to just pass the semester, but it can be a bit tough to get a good SPI. We have relative grading in our institute, so your grades will be determined according to the performance of your batchmates. | Placements are top-notch, but the infrastructure lags behind. | I chose computer science and engineering since I was passionate about choosing the IT sector as my career. The coding culture of this institute is quite good, which further promotes knowledge sharing among your peers. You would be learning several times more with your batchmates than the knowledge imparted to you in the institute. Several fests are conducted like Cerebro (the annual technical fest), Kreiva, Alfaaz etc. There are also events held by different clubs, so you will be enjoying your 4 years thoroughly. The hostel has good connectivity to both Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad, and you can spend your weekends going to Sabarmati Riverfront or several other places.
