GPSC Industrial Safety and Health Officer prelim result: 164 shortlisted for 11 posts, upload your documents between 27 October and 5 November

The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has published the preliminary test results for two posts in the Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health under the Labour, Skill Development and Employment Department. For Industrial Safety and Health Officer, Class 2 (Advertisement No. 39/2026-27, 11 posts), 164 candidates have been called for application scrutiny. For Deputy Director, Industrial Safety and Health, Class 1 (Advertisement No. 34/2026-27, 3 posts), 48 candidates have been called. The lists came out on 16 October, and the upload notices are dated 19 October 2026.

About the posts

• Class 2 officer: at least a second-class B.E. or B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering, age up to 35 (with the usual relaxations), pay Level 7 (₹39,900 to ₹1,26,600).
• Class 1 Deputy Director: a second-class degree in the same branches plus about eight years of relevant experience, age up to 43, pay Level 11 (₹67,700 to ₹2,08,700).
• Final selection gives equal weight to the prelim marks and the interview marks.

How the upload works

1. Upload everything only on gpsc-iass.gujarat.gov.in. Documents sent by post or handed in at the office are not accepted, and the commission will treat you as ineligible.
2. SEBC candidates need the non-creamy layer certificate in the format the advertisement prescribes, issued between 1 April 2024 and 5 November 2026. Married women must submit it on their parents’ income; one based on the husband’s income is rejected.
3. EWS candidates need the eligibility certificate in the state format (Annexure KH), issued between 6 November 2023 and 5 November 2026.
4. For the Deputy Director post, applicants from the private sector need an experience certificate in the commission’s prescribed format, with salary account bank statements and Form 16 (Parts A and B) or income tax returns for the period. Government staff need the certificate from their office and a no-objection certificate.
5. Upload all mark sheets of every year or semester, the degree certificate, and the SSC certificate as proof of date of birth.

The commission says this list is a "zone of consideration", not a merit list. Interview lists will follow.
