UGC-NET June 2026 e-certificates are ready to download
NTA has issued the e-certificates for UGC-NET June 2026, covering all four outcomes: JRF only, JRF plus assistant professor, assistant professor plus PhD admission, and PhD admission only. They are on ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
The National Testing Agency has issued the e-certificates for UGC-NET June 2026. They can be downloaded now from the UGC-NET portal.
Which certificate you get
The June 2026 cycle — held on 22, 23, 24, 25, 29 and 30 June and 5 July, with the re-exam on 9 and 10 September — produces four kinds of certificate:
- Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) only
- JRF and eligibility for Assistant Professor
- Eligibility for Assistant Professor and admission to PhD
- Admission to PhD only
Check that the certificate matches the category shown on your result. The category decides what you can use it for: only the two JRF certificates carry the fellowship, and only the second and third carry eligibility for assistant professor posts.
What to do with it
- Download and save several copies now, including a printed one. Universities ask for it at PhD interviews and recruitment verification, often at short notice.
- JRF holders: the fellowship is activated when a university or institution admits you to a PhD and forwards your papers. The award letter has a validity period — don't let it lapse while you decide.
- PhD-only and PhD-plus-assistant-professor holders: many universities now admit PhD students on NET scores rather than a separate entrance test. Watch their admission notices this autumn.
If the certificate will not download or has an error, NTA asks candidates to write to [email protected] or [email protected].
