The Union Public Service Commission will begin the personality tests (interviews) for the Indian Economic Service / Indian Statistical Service (IES/ISS) Examination, 2026 on Monday, 2 November 2026. The notice is dated 15 October 2026 and follows the written result declared on 4 August 2026. The interviews run to Thursday, 5 November 2026.

Who is called and when
| Day | IES candidates | ISS candidates |

| Tuesday, 3 November 2026 | 12 | 24 |
| Wednesday, 4 November 2026 | 12 | 24 |
| Thursday, 5 November 2026 | 5 | 24 |
| Total | 40 | 94 |
Each day has two sessions: forenoon at 9:00 am and afternoon at 1:00 pm. UPSC lists candidates by roll number, so find yours in the Economic Service list or the Statistical Service list, which are separate PDFs on the UPSC website.
What to do now
- Watch for your e-summon letter. UPSC says it will be made available shortly on upsconline.nic.in. Download it as soon as it appears.
- Do not expect a new slot. The notice says a request to change the date or time will ordinarily not be entertained.
- Claim your travel. UPSC reimburses second or sleeper class mail or express train fare. Travel by another mode or class is dealt with under Supplementary Rule 132 and UPSC's guidelines.
The travel allowance form for candidates is on upsc.gov.in under Forms and Downloads. The schedule does not name a venue or a reporting time before the session, so those details will have to come from your e-summon letter. The written result was declared on 4 August 2026, so candidates have waited about three months for this step.

On 16 October 2026 UPSC published the final result of the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination, 2026. It recommends 66 candidates against 69 reported vacancies, across Geologist, Hydrogeologist, Geophysicist and Chemist posts, and keeps a reserve list of two Hydrogeology and two Geophysics names. Some results are provisional, and UPSC says that status lasts three months from the final result unless the original documents are verified.
