TIFR Mumbai auditorium named Homi Bhabha Auditorium is fully air-conditioned and have a seating capacity of over 1000 people. It has all the modern facilities required for a professional auditorium that included sound and lighting arrangements, Kate's audiovisual technology, projection facilities etc.

The institute provides all the required facilities to students with an aim to provide an environment conducive to research and learning. TIFR Mumbai central workshop facilities include conventional machining (turning, milling, grinding (external & internal), engraving welding fitting carpentry painting maintenance of machines CNC (computer numerical control). It caters to mechanical engineering that may include in house design and development.

Scientific Information Resource Centre abbreviated as SIRC has a vast collection of books covering the subjects like astronomy and astrophysics, chemical physics, theoretical computer science, matter physics, high energy physics, etc. SIRC subscribed to foreign journals, electronic resources, non-books materials; theses, maps, audiovisual materials.

TIFR Mumbai medical clinic caters to the students, faculty and staff. Full-time medical officers, with two nurses and one and boy, is there to provide medical facilities at TIFR Mumbai.

TIFR Mumbai Details
TIFR Mumbai students get fellowships according to rules governed by DAE. Currently, TIFR Mumbai students get Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 28,000 per month for the students before and after the Ph.D. registration respectively. All the TIFR Mumbai scholarships come from DAE. Tata Institute of Fundamental Research Mumbai students can also apply for the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee (SPM) Fellowship of CSIR. The initial qualification of students applying for TIFR Mumbai fellowships (integrated M.Sc. and Ph.D.) is graduates in basic science or graduate in professional courses. Whereas, for Ph.D., the initial qualification is postgraduate in basic science or graduate in professional courses.
