Who can take part
- NEET UG 2026 candidates who never registered, or registered but did not finish the application and payment, and who are not admitted to any medical or dental college in India.
- Candidates who applied earlier must give their consent for round 3 on the portal. If your round-2 seat was cancelled for any reason, your old choices are void and you must fill fresh ones.
- Not eligible: anyone who has already joined a seat through round 1 or 2, or who has taken admission through the all-India quota up to its round 3. Such candidates need not do anything; if their name appears on the central weeding-out list, any Bihar seat they hold is cancelled and the deposit is forfeited.
Money
The non-refundable counselling fee is ₹1,200 (₹600 for SC, ST and DQ candidates choosing only government seats; private colleges charge everyone ₹1,200). The security deposit is ₹10,000 (₹5,000 for SC, ST and DQ) for government seats, ₹2,00,000 for a private medical college and ₹50,000 for a private dental college. Choosing both private medical and dental raises it to ₹2,00,000. Payment is online only.
A warning on upgrades
The board notes that students upgrading out of round-2 seats can free up seats in round 3, so choose with that in mind. Check the updated seat matrix on the board's website before you lock.
