Gujarat MD, MS and diploma round 1: lock your choices by 10 am on 31 October, with 2,675 seats on the table

The Admission Committee for Professional Post-Graduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPPGMEC), Gujarat has opened round 1 online choice filling for 2026-27 MD, MS and diploma seats. Its advertisement says choice filling runs from 27 October 2026 to 10 am on 31 October 2026. Only candidates on the committee's merit list can take part. The revised general, SC and EWS merit lists were updated on 27 October.

The tentative vacant seat list for round 1, dated 27 October 2026, has 2,675 seats:

By category, 1,377 of the seats are open, 148 SC, 326 ST, 598 SEBC and 226 EWS.

Rules worth knowing before you lock

• Log in with your user ID, password and the 14-digit PIN you bought at registration. You can add as many choices as you like and reorder them. Government colleges show in blue and self-financed colleges in green.
• Lock your choices with the PIN and print the locked list. The committee says it will only go by that printout if a dispute comes up. If you do not lock, your saved choices are locked automatically on the last day.
• NRI-quota candidates pay term fees at admission, including a ₹10 lakh demand draft in favour of "ACPUGMEC", payable at Gandhinagar.
• Seats that stay empty in reserved categories are not moved to other categories until the third round. Then NRI seats go to management, management seats to the state quota, and unfilled SC, ST, SEBC and EWS seats to open. The committee advises you to fill choices as you wish, whatever the seat matrix shows now.
• Round 1 allottees who do not take the seat, or who join it, can still take part in round 2 with their old registration, without losing the deposit. From round 2 onward, a candidate who is allotted a seat and does not confirm admission loses the security deposit.
