The committee’s list of candidates who must report at a help centre has 605 names. Most are new allotments, and the rest moved to a different government institute in this round.

How to confirm your round 4 seat

  1. Log in on medadmgujarat.org with your User ID, password and 14-digit PIN, click Result, and download the latest copy of your allotment letter. The committee says fee payment and reporting must be done only after taking the latest copy.
  2. Pay the fee shown on the challan online, or in cash only at an Axis Bank branch on the committee’s approved list. A payment at any other Axis branch will not be accepted.
  3. Book a help-centre appointment online. Put every original document named in your allotment letter in an 11 x 15 inch postal envelope, with the fee receipt and the appointment letter. The envelope is sealed and kept at the help centre.
  4. Take your PIN with you. The student, or a parent carrying proof of identity, must be present in person.
  5. Carry a medical fitness certificate in the committee’s format. It is needed when admission is confirmed.

Where the private seats went

The committee’s list of vacant seats in self-financed institutes after round 4 counts 35,430 empty seats out of 50,086. Under Rule 17 of the admission rules, these seats are now handed to the colleges to fill on their own, following the norms and eligibility set by the relevant council, university and the state government. The colleges must also get these students enrolled with the council or university themselves.

The committee has also said that institutes which did not submit their 2026-27 recognition letters and bank guarantees were left out of the counselling rounds and will not be allowed to admit students under Rule 17. That list is on medadmgujarat.org.

What to do now

  1. If you got a government seat in round 4, pay before 3:30 pm on 22 October and report before 4 pm on 23 October. Bank branches and help centres are closed on holidays, so do not leave it to the last day.
  2. If you did not get a seat, open the committee’s Rule 17 vacancy list, shortlist self-financed colleges near you, and contact them directly.
  3. Before you pay any private college, check that it is not on the committee’s list of institutes barred from Rule 17 admissions, and ask the college in writing how it will enrol you with the council or university.
