Gujarat round 3: the paperwork that actually gets you admitted

An allotment letter is not an admission. Reporting at the right help centre with originals, paying tuition at a designated HDFC branch or online, and carrying the correct envelope and authority letter are what convert an allotted seat into a confirmed one.

Gujarat round 3: the paperwork that actually gets you admitted

Every counselling season, a handful of candidates lose a seat they had legitimately earned because of a document, a deadline or a bank branch. Gujarat's admission committee publishes a set of documents that between them remove most of that risk, and almost nobody reads them until the day they report. With round 3 opening on 28 September, here is what they say.

The five documents to download now

  • Procedure for admission confirmation — the step order for the round. Read this first.
  • List of help centres — you report at a designated centre, not at the allotted college.
  • List of designated HDFC Bank branches for tuition-fee payment, if you are not paying online.
  • Authority letter for original document submission — the route if someone else must submit on your behalf.
  • Envelope instructions — the committee specifies what is written on an 11 x 15-inch envelope. This is not decorative; it is how your file is identified.

Originals, not copies

The single most important rule this year: from round 2 onwards, help centres verify only original documents. If your originals are lodged with a college you joined in an earlier round, get them back or use the authority-letter route in advance. Turning up with photocopies is not a recoverable position on the last day of a reporting window.

Two lists that are published after each allotment

After the round 3 result, the committee publishes a list of students required to report at a help centre and a separate list of students required to pay tuition fees online or at a designated HDFC branch. These are not the same list. Check both against your own name, because being on the second and not the first does not mean there is nothing to do.

And the dates you cannot move

Round 3 state counselling runs 28 September to 9 October, and the last date of joining is 14 October. The stray vacancy round follows from 17 to 21 October with a final joining date of 26 October. After that, the 2026-27 medical admission season is closed.
