NEET UG special stray round result: 811 seats allotted, 537 of them MBBS, and you must join by 5 pm on 16 November
MCC has published the final result of its special stray vacancy round for MBBS and round 5 for BDS and B.Sc nursing. 811 candidates got a seat: 537 MBBS, 208 BDS and 66 B.Sc nursing. 510 of the MBBS seats are self-financed merit seats at deemed universities, and the last MBBS allotment went to rank 11,91,652. Reporting runs from 7 November to 5 pm on 16 November 2026. A sixth round, for BDS and nursing only, opens on 17 November.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has posted the final allotment result of the special stray vacancy round for MBBS and the fifth round for BDS and B.Sc nursing in NEET UG counselling 2026. The list was put up on 6 November, a day before the date in the round schedule.

Who got what
| Course | Seats in the matrix of 2 November | Allotted |
|---|---|---|
| MBBS | 946 | 537 |
| BDS | 207 | 208 |
| B.Sc nursing | 66 | 66 |
| Total | 1,219 | 811 |
MCC added a few seats after the seat matrix went up, through notices on 2 and 4 November, which is why BDS shows one more allotment than its matrix count. The bigger story is MBBS: about 400 of the seats on offer were not allotted to anyone in this round.
Deemed university seats dominate
- 510 of the 537 MBBS allotments are self-financed merit seats at deemed universities. Four colleges in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry account for 343 of them.
- Of the other 27 MBBS seats, 22 are all-India quota seats in government colleges and the rest are central university and NRI quota seats. The best rank allotted MBBS was 6,218, at a government college in Kolkata.
- The last MBBS seat went to rank 11,91,652. Deemed university fees are far higher than government fees, so check the college's fee before you travel.
- For BDS, 112 of the 208 allotments are all-India quota seats in government dental colleges; most of the rest are at deemed universities.
Reporting: 7 to 16 November
If you have a seat, report at the allotted college between 7 November and 5 pm on 16 November 2026 (server time) with your original documents. Download the allotment letter from the MCC portal first, and carry the documents listed in the information bulletin.
