Gujarat University has closed admissions to its online degree programmes for 2026-27, and the numbers show how quickly demand for fully online study is growing in the state.
The intake
- 3,101 students registered in the February 2026 cycle, 2,993 from India and 108 from abroad.
- 447 completed applications, 440 were approved and 343 students enrolled, including two international students.
- The previous cycle, in August 2025, had 450 registrations and 154 enrolments.
The programmes
Six programmes are on offer: Bachelor of Arts (English) with 68 enrolments, Bachelor of Commerce with 73, Bachelor of Computer Application with 59, Master of Arts (English) with 56, Master of Commerce with 61 and Master of Science (Mathematics) with 26.
Classes are taught online by the university’s own faculty and examinations are also conducted over internet-based systems, so the degrees can be completed without visiting the Ahmedabad campus.
