Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026: result and rank are out
The testing agency has uploaded the result and rank for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 examination, following the scores declared in August. Score cards can be downloaded from the examination portal.
The result and rank of the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 examination have been uploaded to the examination portal. This follows the declaration of scores announced in late August, and completes the cycle for candidates in the science subjects.
What to do
- View, download and print your score card from the examination portal. Do it now, not later, because these portals close.
- Save a PDF copy in two places. You will need this document for PhD admissions, for fellowship claims and for job applications years from now.
- For clarification, the agency has published helpline numbers 011-40759000 and 011-69227700, and an email address for CSIR NET queries.
What the rank is for
CSIR NET is the gate to the Junior Research Fellowship in the sciences, to lectureship eligibility, and to doctoral admission across a large number of institutions. The rank matters in a way the score alone does not. Many institutions and fellowship allocations work down a rank list, so two candidates with similar marks can have quite different outcomes.
If it did not go your way
The December 2026 cycle of the Joint CSIR-UGC NET is already scheduled for 20 and 21 December 2026, with the UGC NET December cycle immediately before it on 14 to 19 December. Those dates are tentative and the notification and application window will be announced separately. You can still plan the next attempt around them rather than waiting for an announcement.
