UPTET 2026 certificate wrong? You get one chance to fix it, for ₹200
The Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission has opened an online facility to correct names, dates of birth and categories on UPTET 2026 certificates. The fee is ₹200 and only one correction will be allowed.
The Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission (UPESSC) has opened an online facility for correcting UPTET 2026 certificates. More than 13 lakh candidates qualified in this year's test, and the commission has now set out how errors on their certificates will be fixed.
How it works
- What can be corrected: name, date of birth and category.
- Fee: ₹200 for a revised certificate.
- Where: online only, through the commission's certificates portal. Applications by post, representations or any other route will not be accepted.
- One chance only. Once a certificate has been corrected, no further correction will be allowed.
Check before you apply
Because there is no second attempt, compare the certificate line by line with your Class 10 certificate (for name and date of birth) and your caste certificate (for category) before you submit. Read the commission's guidelines on the portal first. A TET certificate is what you will be asked to show at every teacher recruitment in the state; an error on it can cost you a job years from now.
Also on the calendar
The commission has said it will not revise results over OMR or normalisation complaints after reviewing them, and it has fixed 3 November for a special UPTET 2026 exam.
