XAT 2027: applicants can correct their forms on 16 and 17 October; the exam is on Sunday, 3 January
XLRI has opened a two-day edit window for XAT 2027 applications on 16 and 17 October 2026, for candidates who had submitted their forms. Its bulletin keeps registration open until 6 December, puts admit cards out from 20 December and holds the three-hour test from 2 pm to 5 pm on 3 January 2027. The fee is ₹2,300.

XLRI Xavier School of Management, which conducts the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) on behalf of the XAMI group of institutes, has opened an application edit window on 16 and 17 October 2026. Candidates who have submitted their XAT 2027 application can log in to their dashboard, review the form and make the corrections allowed. XLRI had asked applicants to complete their forms by 16 October to keep this chance open.

The XAT 2027 calendar
| Step | Date |
|---|---|
| Registration for XAT and XLRI | 15 July to 6 December 2026 |
| Application edit window | 16 and 17 October 2026 |
| Admit card | From 20 December 2026 (tentative) |
| XAT 2027 | Sunday, 3 January 2027, 2 pm to 5 pm |
| Result | Last week of January 2027 |
| Scorecard download | 31 January to 30 June 2027 |
The registration, admit card, exam and result dates come from XLRI’s XAT 2027 bulletin; the edit window was announced on the XAT website. The window matters because, outside it, the bulletin says applicant details cannot be edited once the form has been paid for and submitted. Your email ID and mobile number cannot be changed after registration at all.
The test
- A three-hour exam on a computer with no sectional time limits. All sections stay open, and you can move between them in any order.
- A scientific calculator is built into the exam screen.
- XAT is held in more than 100 cities. In Gujarat they are Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Mehsana, Rajkot, Surat and Vadodara. You pick up to six preferred cities on the form.
- XLRI says more than 250 institutes accept XAT scores. New associate institutes this year include Narayana Business School, Ahmedabad, Mahindra University, Hyderabad, and the Arun Jaitley National Institute of Financial Management, Faridabad.
Fees
The XAT fee is ₹2,300. Applying to XLRI’s own programmes costs ₹200 more for each programme. All payments for XAT and XLRI registration are non-refundable.
What to do in the edit window
- Log in at xatonline.in and save a copy of your application before you change anything.
- Check that your name and your parents’ names match your certificates, marksheets and ID exactly. XLRI warns that a mismatch may disqualify an application.
- Look at your photo and signature again. The signature on your admit card has to match the one you sign at the centre.
- Save the corrected form and your payment e-receipt.
If you have not applied yet, the bulletin keeps registration open until 6 December. XLRI has not announced another edit window.
