XAT 2027: registration closes 6 December, exam on 3 January from 2 pm to 5 pm

Registration for XAT 2027, the management entrance test run by XLRI, opened on 15 July 2026 and closes on 6 December 2026, according to the XAT 2027 bulletin.

Fee and test cities

The XAT fee is ₹2,300, plus ₹200 for each XLRI programme you apply to. You can pick up to six test cities. Six of the cities on the list are in Gujarat: Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Mehsana, Rajkot, Surat and Vadodara.

Marking, in short

XLRI's site lists about 95 questions in 180 minutes. A wrong answer costs 0.25. You can skip 8 questions without a penalty, but each question skipped after the eighth costs 0.10. General knowledge has no negative marking and does not count toward the percentile; XLRI uses it only for its own programmes.
