Indian Institute of Technology Jammu is a government-funded institute established in the year 2016. IIT Jammu is recognised as an "Institute of National Importance". Courses at IIT Jammu are offered at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels in various specialisations. Students seeking admission to the IIT Jammu courses must appear for the entrance examination accepted by the institute. Admission to IIT Jammu are based on JEE Advanced examination for B.Tech programmes and GATE examination for admission to M.Tech courses. Students are advised to check the updated IIT Jammu fees before applying for admissions. The Career Development Centre of IIT Jammu provides placement and internship opportunities to students. IIT Jammu also provides scholarships to UG, PG, and doctoral students. The eligible candidates can apply for the IIT Jammu scholarships. IIT Jammu is among the new generation of IITs and was mentored by IIT Delhi until it was recognised as an Institute of National Importance. IIT Jammu Details
The university provides a variety of scholarships to students. IIT Jammu scholarships are offered to students based on their academic performance. Institute Merit-cum-Means Scholarship, Institute Freeship Scholarship and Institute Free Messing Scholarship are the three Indian Institute of Technology Jammu scholarships that can be availed by the students enrolled in undergraduate programmes. The scholarship list of the university also consists of numerous UGC and AICTE sponsored scholarships. The students can apply for scholarships at IIT Jammu sponsored by UGC and AICTE by visiting the National Scholarship Portal.
