Check below few more updates related to IITP admissions: The GATE COAP 2026 seat allotment results for round 3 have been released for admission to the ME/MTech courses. Candidates can choose to accept & freeze, retain & wait, or reject & wait by May 27, 2026 (till 9 AM). The JEE Advanced 2026 exam has been conducted for admission to the BE/BTech course. The results for the same will be announced on Jun 1, 2026 . The JEE Main 2026 session 2 result has been announced on the official website for IIT Patna admission to the BTech, BArch and BPlan courses. The IIT JAM 2026 first admission list has been announced for admission to the MSc course. Students have to pay the seat booking fee by May 30, 2026 . Also, the window to opt for either an opening or closing withdrawal option will be open from Jun 3, 2026, to Jul 3, 2026 .

Institute provides various Central Scheme Scholarships - Top Class Education Scheme for SC students (for UG Students) - funded by Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment Objective: The scheme aims at recognizing and promoting quality education amongst students belonging to SCs, by providing full financial support. The scheme will cover SC students for pursuing studies beyond 12th class. Eligibility: -SC students having total annual family income from all sources up to Rs. 6.00 lakh and having secured admission in a full-time course in any of the notified institutions according to the general selection criteria prescribed by the concerned institution, will be eligible for scholarship under the Scheme to the extent of the number of scholarships (slots) allocated to the institution for the course. -The benefit of the Scheme will not be provided to more than 2 siblings in a family. The student will submit an affidavit in the Institution to certify that he/she is not the third sibling of the family who is availing benefit under the scheme -The scholarship will be terminated if the student fails to pass the final examination of each year or any terminal examination or semester examination prescribed. No. of slots given to IIT Patna: 12 Duration: Entire academic year/course, subject to satisfactory performance of the student. Rate of Scholarship : -Full tuition fee non-refundable charges. -Living expenses to the beneficiary @ Rs. 2,220/- per month per student. -Books and stationery @ 3,000/- per annum per student; -A latest computer/laptop of reputed brand with accessories like UPS and printer limited to Rs. 45,000/- per student as one time assistance during the course.
