Details
Institute provides various Central Scheme Scholarships - Top Class Education Scheme for SC students (for UG Students) - funded by Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment
Objective: The scheme aims at recognizing and promoting quality education amongst students belonging to SCs, by providing full financial support. The scheme will cover SC students for pursuing studies beyond 12th class.
Eligibility: -SC students having total annual family income from all sources up to Rs. 6.00 lakh and having secured admission in a full-time course in any of the notified institutions according to the general selection criteria prescribed by the concerned institution, will be eligible for scholarship under the Scheme to the extent of the number of scholarships (slots) allocated to the institution for the course. -The benefit of the Scheme will not be provided to more than 2 siblings in a family. The student will submit an affidavit in the Institution to certify that he/she is not the third sibling of the family who is availing benefit under the scheme -The scholarship will be terminated if the student fails to pass the final examination of each year or any terminal examination or semester examination prescribed. Duration: Entire academic year/course, subject to satisfactory performance of the student.
Rate of Scholarship : -Full tuition fee non-refundable charges. -Living expenses to the beneficiary @ Rs. 2,220/- per month per student. -Books and stationery @ 3,000/- per annum per student; -A latest computer/laptop of reputed brand with accessories like UPS and printer limited to Rs. 45,000/- per student as one time assistance during the course.

Details
IIT Patna scholarship offers Central Scheme Scholarships, State Scheme Scholarship, UGC Scheme Scholarship, Institute Scheme Scholarship, Academic Excellence Awards/Donor Scholarships, National Fellowship and Scholarships for Higher Education for ST students from the academic year 2023-24. IIT Patna provides various scholarship schemes to its undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students. The institute believes in making high-quality education accessible to all by offering financial assistance to meritorious and minority candidates.
They can avail of financial assistance schemes by fulfilling the eligibility criteria specified by the institute. Indian Institute of Technology, Patna scholarships are presented to students in the form of tuition fee waivers, fellowships, and field-work grants. IIT Patna also offers scholarships to encourage students from reserved categories, the North Eastern (NE) region, and candidates with weak economic backgrounds.
The five primary IIT Patna scholarship schemes, awarded by the institute, include central, state, UGC, institute, and academic excellence awards. Merit-cum-Means Scholarships (for UG Students including M.Sc.) : - IIT Patna gives MCM scholarships to meritorious and needy students. An UG student or 2 year M.Sc program student can receive the MCM scholarship. Rate of Scholarship : - For Gen & OBC students:- Rs. 1,000/- pm for two semesters (8 semesters in a year) and Free tuition fee. - For SC & ST students:- Free messing, exemption from hostel room rent, and Pocket allowance of Rs. 250/- pm.
Eligibility (Merit): A) For Gen & OBC students:- -For new entrants (B.Tech/M.Sc 1st year): SPI will be the criterion for merit. Minimum SPI is 6.50 and no "F" grade in any of the courses in first semester -For the students in 2nd year (B.Tech/M.Sc) onwards:- Minimum CPI is 6.50 and no "F" grade
B) For SC & ST students:- For new entrants (B.Tech/M.Sc 1st year): SPI will be the criterion for merit. No "F" grade in any of the courses in first semester. For the students in 2nd year (B.Tech/M.Sc) onwards:- No "F" grade in any of the courses.

Above 80 percentile in class 12 Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students Undergraduate students who surpass the 80th percentile in the relevant domain from their corresponding Board of Examination. Diploma students aren’t eligible. The family income per annum shouldn’t exceed Rs 8 lakh.

Scheme for RPSF (Railway Protection Special Force)/ RPF (Railway Protection Force) The UG students must have scored 60% or more in graduation/diploma/10+2. Post-matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities Not more than two SwDs from the same parents. SwDs with 40% and more Guardians/parents income (per year) should not exceed Rs 2.50 lakh.

Scheme for Central Armed Police Forces and Assam Rifles (Offered by WARB, Ministry of Home Affairs) Widows/wards of deceased AR and CAPFs personnel; Wards of AR personnel and Ex-CAPFs in receipt of the Gallantry Awards; Wards of personnel disabled on account of reasons associated with Government services; and widows/wards of serving and retired AR and CAPFs personnel Those pursuing first professional degree courses from, Engineering Students with at least 60% marks in Diploma/10+2/Graduation or an equivalent for new entrants For scholarship renewal, it is compulsory to clear each succeeding academic year for the professional programme with at least 50% marks. Top Class Education Scholarships for UG/PG students with disabilities Only two SwDs from the same parents can avail the scheme SwDs with 40% and more Annual income (for family) should not surpass Rs 2. 50 lakh.
