Banks/ATMs
Support
There are two banks on-campus: the Punjab National Bank (P.N.B.) and the State Bank of India(S.B.I.). Both the banks provide Centralised Banking Services, Internet Banking and A.T.M. facilities. On enrollment, every student of IIT-R must open an account with either bank.
Both the banks are centrally located. While P.N.B. is near the post office, the S.B.I branch on campus is located in the main building. The A.T.M. of Punjab National Bank is located next to the bank. S.B.I. operates 2 A.T.M.s on-campus- one near the bank branch and the other in Cautley Bhawan. Apart from these, many banks have branches and A.T.M. facilities in the town, that is, off-campus.
Boys Hostel

IIT Roorkee has 10 hostels for the boys. The hostels are connected with Wi-Fi with deep internet connectivity all over the campus hostel and canteens which are available for midnight snacks. Hostels provide clean and aesthetic environments.

IIT Roorkee has many cafeterias. Apart from the all-night canteens, which are present in each hostel, there are 3 major cafes on campus, namely Nescafe, Alpahar and the University Canteen.These cafeterias provide quality food at reasonable prices.

The campus has a post office within its premises which is situated near the U.G. club. The post office is well equipped and caters to the needs of the students and the faculty, as well as the non-residents of the campus. The post office works on all weekdays from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M., and on Saturdays from 9 A.M. to 2 P.M.

UG Club, PG Club (Jawahar Club), and Alaknanda Clubare some of the clubs atIIT Roorkeethat help students to relax and recharge.; The indoor sports facilities include seven billiards & snooker tables, carrom boards, chess boards, table tennis, and a foosball table.; Additional sections are dedicated to stargazing, philately and numismatics, and robotics in the hobbies club.; Reading areas with various newspapers and light publications are also available in the clubs. Each club has a TV room with seating for around a hundred people.

There are various eating hubs located throughout the IIT Roorkee campus. These promote important student relationships and are frequently seen bursting with activity.; The Georgia cafe's proximity to the new lecture hall complex, the students club, and several dormitories assure a wonderful hub of activity.; Cafe Coffee Day, an Amul parlour, and the Sattviko Idea Cafeare all located within the multi-activity centre. In addition to offering meals, the concept cafe serves as a student discussion centre, with a conference room and a relaxation area.; Several similar eateries on campus, including thealphar cafeand numerous hostel cafes, are available.; Fresh fruit kiosks and IIT Roorkee canteens with wide seating areas are available in each hostel for students to eat and mingle with their peers.; There are night cafes such as the Shri Balaji Cautley Bhawan Cafe for late-night hunger pangs, which is open from 2 am to 2 pm.

The IIT Roorkee campus has10 boys' hostels, 3 girls' hostels, 1 co-ed hostel, and 6 hostels for marriedcouples.; Each hostel or'Bhawan'has a state-of-the-art cybercafe, canteen, and wifi connectivity. All IIT Roorkee hostels are peaceful and clean.; Boys enrolled in B.Tech and B.Arch courses are allotted rooms in Rajendra Bhawan during their first year. While girls pursuing the same course are given rooms in Kasturba Bhawan.

The campus of IIT Roorkee has a50-bed hospitalthat provides outpatient, emergency, inpatient care, laboratory, x-ray, and ECG services to faculty, staff, and students.; The institute hospital also provides ambulance services for referring patients to higher centres that are in excellent working order.

The IIT Roorkee campus features a post office, which is conveniently located near the UG club. The post office is well-equipped and serves the needs of students, professors, and visitors to campus.; The post office is open from 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays and from 9 am to 2 pm on Saturdays.
IIT Roorkee Security

The IITR campus is well-protected and enclosed by boundary walls. Security guards are stationed at each entrance gate, inspecting all cars entering the site.; In addition, a number of security booths maintain a close eye on the campus. Security complaints should be filed with the security office.

The institute provides both indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Games such as badminton, tennis, swimming, basketball, kho kho, table tennis, hockey, etc are available for the students. To motivate students to get more into sports national sports organisation NSO scheme was inaugurated in 2007-2008.
