Bihar BAMS, BHMS and BUMS counselling: choice locking closes at 11:59 pm on 1 October
Bihar’s entrance board has extended rounds 1 and 2 of Ayush undergraduate counselling after a new private homoeopathic college was added. Registration closed on 28 September; registered candidates have until 11:59 pm on 1 October to fill and lock choices.
The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has revised the schedule for UGMAC (Ayush) 2026, the state counselling for BAMS, BHMS and BUMS seats in government and private Ayush colleges of Bihar. The change came in a notice dated 26 September, after the state health department added a new private homoeopathic college in Patna, with the condition that it obtains affiliation for the 2026-27 session. An updated seat matrix has been posted.

What this means for you
- The registration window has already shut. If you registered and paid by 28 September, your only task tonight is to arrange your choices of course and college in order of preference and lock them. An unlocked list is not treated as a final choice.
- Check the updated seat matrix first, because the new Patna homoeopathic college changes the BHMS options.
- The counselling fee was ₹1,200 for unreserved, EWS, BC and EBC candidates and ₹600 for SC, ST and DQ candidates in government colleges; in private colleges everyone pays ₹1,200. It is not refundable.
- The refundable security deposit was ₹10,000 for government Ayush colleges and ₹50,000 for private ones (or for choosing both). These amounts come from the board's 18 September notice, which the extension says still applies.
Plan for the days after
Seat allotment on 3 October is followed by only two days of verification, on 5 and 6 October. Keep your NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard, Class 10 and 12 documents and any category certificate in original (the prospectus lists the full set), and decide before 7 October whether you want to take the seat or use the free-exit window. The board's prospectus sets the eligibility conditions, so read it before you pay.
