CBSE board exams 2027: schools can correct Class 10 and 12 LOC data only from 2 to 7 November, the last chance
CBSE has opened a correction window for the List of Candidates (LOC) for Class 10 and 12 board exams 2027 from Monday, 2 November to Saturday, 7 November 2026. Schools can fix a student’s name, parents’ names, date of birth and subjects. CBSE says no other chance will be given after this.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened the one correction window for the List of Candidates (LOC) that schools submitted for the Class 10 and 12 board exams of 2027. Its circular dated 2 November 2026 fixes the window from Monday, 2 November to Saturday, 7 November 2026.

What can be corrected
After the LOC deadline, every school got a data verification slip for each student. If any of these is wrong on it, the school can fix it in this window:
- Student's name
- Father's, mother's or guardian's name
- Date of birth
- Subjects offered
CBSE says no correction will be made in Class 10 or 12 after this, and no other opportunity to change data will be given. Whatever the LOC says is what goes on the admit card and, later, on the marksheet and certificate.
What CBSE asks parents to check
- Name, date of birth, and mother's and father's names are all correct.
- Names are written in full, not as short forms, because many documents later need the expanded name.
- A surname is included if your child may go abroad, since several countries require it.
- The date of birth is right in every respect.
- If your child has a passport, the details match it.
- Subjects for both Class 10 and 12 are filled with care, as no change is accepted after the window.
CBSE puts it plainly: it is the parents' responsibility to make sure the data submitted for their ward is correct. The correction itself is made by the school, not by the student.
What to do now: ask your child's school for the verification slip now, check it against the birth certificate and passport, and give the school any correction in writing well before Saturday, 7 November. Board exam dates, the two-exam system for Class 10 and private candidate rules are in our CBSE board exam 2027 guide.
