GTU enrollment for 2026-27 opens: pay ₹150 at your college between 19 and 28 October, or ₹250 on 2 and 3 November
Gujarat Technological University has told its affiliated colleges to enrol new students for 2026-27 through a portal. Students pay a ₹150 fee at their own institute from 19 to 28 October. A late window on 2 and 3 November adds a ₹100 penalty.

Gujarat Technological University (GTU) issued circular GTU/Enrolment/2026-27/8108 on 17 October 2026. It starts Phase 1 of the enrollment process for the 2026-27 academic year. If you took admission to a GTU-affiliated college this year, the enrollment fee is paid at your own institute, and the dates are short.

Enrollment dates
| Step | Dates |
|---|---|
| Student pays ₹150 at the institute | 19 October to 28 October 2026 |
| Institute checks and approves the admitted student list | 19 October to 28 October 2026 |
| Institute pays GTU and uploads the receipt | 29 October to 30 October 2026 |
| Late window: student pays ₹150 plus ₹100 penalty | 2 November to 3 November 2026 |
| Late window: institute checks and approves the list | 2 November to 3 November 2026 |
| Late window: institute pays GTU and uploads the receipt | 4 November 2026 |
Who this covers
The circular lists the programmes in Phase 1:
- Engineering: Bachelor of Engineering (and the working-professional version), Diploma to Degree Engineering, Diploma Engineering (and working professional), C2D Diploma.
- Management: integrated MBA, BBA (Honours and Honours with Research), and Hotel Management and Catering Technology.
- Computer applications: integrated MCA and BCA (Honours and Honours with Research).
- Pharmacy, vocation and architecture: Diploma to Degree Pharmacy, B.Voc and Diploma in Vocation, M.Arch, Bachelor of Interior Design and Diploma in Architecture.
- PG diplomas and others: PG Diploma in Data Science, Digital Marketing and Hospital Management, integrated M.Sc. IT, M.Sc. Industrial Biotechnology, MA in Hindu Studies and B.Sc. (Honours).
What students must do
- Pay the ₹150 fee at your institute during the dates above. GTU says students should deal with their institute, not with the university, for this step.
- Wait for your institute to approve your name on the enrollment portal, enroll.gtu.ac.in.
- About 10 days after approval, register on the GTU student portal, student.gtu.ac.in, and upload your passport-size photograph and signature.
- If your form has a problem, take it to your institute. The institute sends unresolved queries to the university by email.
The deadline for the main window is a working deadline for your college too, since it must clear the full list and pay GTU on 29 and 30 October 2026. Ask the office to confirm that your name is on the list rather than assume it.
What to do now
- Pay by 28 October 2026 and keep the receipt. The late route costs ₹250 in total and only runs on 2 and 3 November 2026.
- Check that your name and programme match your admission letter, because the institute approves the list from what you gave it.
- Set a reminder for the student portal registration, which comes about 10 days after approval.
GTU has also opened a 6th-semester programme at IIT Gandhinagar for students of its government engineering colleges.
