The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC), Gandhinagar has released the seat matrix for Gujarat’s NEET UG 2026 counselling, and it is the biggest pool of medical seats the state has ever offered.
The seat matrix
- MBBS: 7,500 seats — 5,891 in the government quota, 317 under the all-India quota, 430 management quota and 862 NRI.
- BDS: 1,255 seats — 984 government quota, 36 all-India quota, 87 management quota and 148 NRI.
Government colleges in the matrix include B.J. Medical College, Ahmedabad; Government Medical College, Surat; Shri M.P. Shah Government Medical College, Jamnagar; Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Medical College, Rajkot; and the government medical colleges at Bhavnagar and Vadodara.
Dates and process
Round 1 choice filling opened on 24 August and closed at 1 pm on 27 August, with the choice display available until 4 pm the same day. Registrations for round 2 have since opened on the committee’s portal, medadmgujarat.org. Candidates register, buy the online PIN for ₹11,000 and complete document verification before they can fill choices.
Students who missed round 1 should register for round 2 as soon as the window allows; seats vacated after round 1 allotments return to the pool.
