Gujarat panchayat Talati and Junior Clerk drives for candidates with disabilities: 251 called to pick their districts in Gandhinagar on 22 October

The Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board (GPSSB) has published the lists of candidates who cleared document verification in two special recruitment drives for persons with benchmark disabilities: Village Panchayat Secretary (Talati cum Mantri), Advertisement No. 14/2025-26, and Junior Clerk (Administration/Accounts), Advertisement No. 13/2025-26. Both notices are dated 19 October 2026. The 251 candidates named in them (139 for Talati and 112 for Junior Clerk) must attend district allocation in person on Thursday, 22 October 2026.

How the lists were drawn up

Both written exams were computer-based MCQ tests held on 18 February 2026. The provisional merit list came out on 27 April for Junior Clerk and on 11 May for Talati. After original-certificate checks and a final chance for those who missed them, the board says it has now declared 23 Talati candidates and 13 Junior Clerk candidates disqualified for not getting their documents verified, or for saying they did not want the job. Those candidates lose any claim to selection under these advertisements.

The venue is the GPSSB office, Block No. 2, D Wing, Fifth Floor, Karmayogi Bhavan, Sector 10-A, Gandhinagar. The final written marks on the Talati list range from 75.25 at the top to 40.15 for the last name, and on the Junior Clerk list from 82.91 to 40.05.

Rules that decide whether you keep the job

• Districts go in merit order, by disability category. When your serial number comes up, you choose from the vacancies left in your category on screen.
• Be there when your turn comes. If neither you nor your representative is present at your turn, the board treats your candidature as withdrawn. Latecomers get only what is still vacant.
• Refusing a district ends your selection. If you do not attend, do not choose a district, or decline the one available, your selection is cancelled permanently.
• You can send someone. An adult can attend on your behalf with an authority letter in affidavit form, carrying both photographs signed by you, plus their own original ID and a photocopy.
• A few candidates on each list are allowed to choose a district provisionally while a medical board opinion, a fresh disability certificate or a qualification check is pending. Their recommendation is on hold until that is settled.
• District allocation alone does not give anyone a right to appointment.

What to carry

1. All original certificates.
2. An original photo ID.
3. A colour passport-size photograph that matches the one in your online application.
