NDA (I) 2026 final result: 617 make the merit list for 394 seats, and the last recommended man scored 577 out of 1,800

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the final result of the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I), 2026 on 5 November 2026 and the cut-off marks a day later. The merit list has 617 candidates, ranked after the written exam of 12 April 2026 and the Services Selection Board interviews.

Seats and the merit list

The list is in two parts: 551 men and 66 women. They are competing for the vacancies UPSC notified in its December 2025 notification, which men and women fill separately:

The merit list is longer than the seat count because joining also depends on the medical exam and on each candidate's order of service preferences.

Cut-off marks

• Written stage (out of 900): 207.83 for men and 287.01 for women, with at least 20% in each subject.
• Last recommended candidate (out of 1,800, written plus SSB): 577.00 for men and 649.18 for women.

Individual marks go up on upsc.gov.in 15 days after the final result.

If your name is on the list

• The courses are the 157th NDA course and the 119th Indian Naval Academy course, starting on 1 January 2027. Joining details come from the services: joinindianarmy.nic.in, joinindiannavy.gov.in and careerindianairforce.cdac.in.
• Medical results are not counted in this list, so your place is provisional until you are declared fit.
• If you have not already done so, send your date of birth and education certificates to the Additional Directorate General of Recruiting, Adjutant General's Branch, Integrated HQ of MoD (Army), West Block III, R.K. Puram, New Delhi 110066. Do not send them to UPSC. Address changes go to the same office.
