Freeze, float and the round-3 lock
- After rounds 1 and 2 you choose to be a Freeze candidate (keep the seat and join in person) or a Float candidate (ask for an upgrade; documents are verified online by the allotted institute).
- Every allotted candidate uploads documents once on the MCC portal. The bulletin asks you to do it within two to three days of the final result, so any queries can be settled in time.
- Leaving a round-1 seat is free. Leaving after round 2 costs your security deposit.
- A round-3 seat cannot be resigned. If you do not join it, the deposit is forfeited and you are out of later rounds.
Candidates with disabilities should note that MCC has also posted the list of Medical Assessment Boards that issue the disability certificate for PG counselling.
